I am a min/max guy and was testing the stacking penalty for shield recharge modules on my Guristats Saga and noticed something interesting.
Well my base recharge rate is 36.8% I add 19% shield regenerator and changes to 43.79, +19% exactly. Then I add another one and it changes to 51.02, approximately +16.5% Then I add a third, this changes it to 56.55, approximately +10.8%
Now I add a 7% power diagnostic system. Instead of giving me a boost to 60.5, +7%, I get a boost of 57.68 +2% approximately.
Now if I remove all the shield regenerator modules, +7% bonus from the power diagnostic system.
So it appears the stacking penalty includes all modules that effect the stat, not only like modules. Is this working as intended? |

S Park Finner wrote:In the EVE world the wording of the module description separates out two types of stacking penalties. One applies to "modules of the same type" and one to "modules affecting the same characteristic". I'm not in game now so I can't check but that would be something to look at.
in game now, I will write down the exact wording for the stacking penalty:
Shield Regenerator
"NOTE: Stacking penalties apply to this module; the effectiveness of each additional module after the first will be reduced."
Militia Power Diagnostic System
"NOTE: Stacking penalties apply to this module; the effectiveness of each additional module after the first will be reduced."
Same wording with Ward Regenerator and Local Power Diagnostic System. |

Working as intended? (Almost wrote working as extended haha.)
Only certain modules have the penalty, it is in their description. Shield extenders give full benefits for each module added.
But like the resistance modules, damage modules, and shield recharge modules, they get a penalty for stacking. |
